MINNEAPOLIS (July 23, 2014) – People who apply for any new personal U.S. Bank credit card at any U.S. Bank branch through August 15, 2014 may qualify to earn a $50 bonus (certain restrictions apply, visit any U.S. Bank branch for details). The bonus is on top of any current new account offers specific to U.S. Bank credit cards.

“We’re very excited to bring this opportunity for a $50 bonus to our current and future customers,” said David Greenly, senior vice president of channel and segment management for U.S. Bank Retail Payment Solutions. “We believe U.S. Bank offers best in class credit products to our customers. Using credit cards for everyday purchases is one way to use a credit card as a budget tool and to enjoy terrific rewards.”

Upon receiving their new U.S. Bank credit card, earning the bonus is easy. Cardholders need to:

1. Make five separate purchases of $50 or more at gas stations or grocery stores; and

2. Visit any local U.S. Bank branch to verify purchases by bringing in the five receipts.

Once verified, a U.S. Bank employee will deposit $50 into the customer’s U.S. Bank Checking or Savings account. Customers must have a U.S. Bank Checking or Savings account in order to receive the bonus.

The $50 bonus promotion is available through August 15, 2014 at all U.S. Bank branches. Newly approved credit card customers will have until September 30, 2014 to redeem the $50 bonus. Offer details are available at any U.S. Bank branch.
