APPLETON, Wisconsin – The national law firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is pleased to announce that Benjamin D. LaFrombois has joined the firm’s Commercial Transactions Practice as a partner in the Appleton office. Mr. LaFrombois joins Hinshaw from WOW Logistics, where he served as Vice President and General Counsel.
Mr. LaFrombois is a transactional attorney who handles a wide variety of business and corporate legal matters. His practice has a particular emphasis in corporate governance, commercial real estate development, and the financing of property, real and personal. Mr. LaFrombois brings a depth of experience related to the food industry at the retail, production and distribution levels. He advises his public and private company clients on issues relating to lease negotiation, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance. Mr. LaFrombois has had a significant estate planning practice, which he will develop in his new role.

In his role at WOW Logistics in Appleton, Mr. LaFrombois generated value for shareholders by creating a strong corporate governance program; developing the legal documents and processes for the largest non-bank dairy product financing program in the country; and managing the company’s first securities offering. WOW Logistics is at its core a real estate management company owing seven million square feet of class A warehouse space, with approximately half the space being climate controlled.
Prior to WOW Logistics, Mr. LaFrombois was In-House Counsel at Ingles Markets, Inc. in Black Mountain, North Carolina. At Ingles Markets, Mr. LaFrombois directed the legal efforts related to a portfolio of two hundred stores and managed substantial distribution capability.
Mr. LaFrombois earned his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law and his B.S. in Accounting from Liberty University.
