Madison, WI (March 5, 2014) – Michael Best & Friedrich LLP has launched Michael Best Strategies LLC, designed to help businesses navigate the complex regulatory and public policy environment.
The newly formed group is led by former Wisconsin State Senator, Ted Kanavas. Mr. Kanavas and his team will provide a full range of services, including: public policy strategy, lobbying and public relations support of businesses navigating their relationship with federal, state and local governments.

Mr. Kanavas has been involved in Wisconsin politics for more than 30 years. As an elected official, he was a strong advocate for business and entrepreneurship, authoring legislation that featured venture capital investment in Wisconsin companies, research in biotechnology and development in nano-technologies at state-funded universities. Mr. Kanavas has ample experience in the private sector as well, having spent more than two decades in the software industry.
