Schlitz Park: Welcomes Schools That Can Milwaukee and TEMPO Milwaukee as new tenants

Milwaukee, September 17, 2013 – Schlitz Park announced today two new tenants for the riverfront office complex. Schools That Can Milwaukee (STCM) has moved into a 4,000 square-foot space in the Keg House while TEMPO Milwaukee will move into an office suite in the RiverCenter next month.

STCM is a non-profit organization working to close Milwaukee’s achievement gap. They believe creating a world-class system of schools is essential to making Milwaukee a premier destination for people to work and live. Working with charter, Choice and traditional MPS schools, STCM supports the expansion of existing high-performing schools, the opening of new high-performing schools, and the movement of high-potential schools to high-performing. SCTM currently works with 150 school leaders at 34 schools that serve approximately 13,000 students. The organization, founded in 2010, has expanded from six to twelve employees this year.

TEMPO Milwaukee is one of the region’s leading business associations for executive women with 275 members from more than 180 companies in Milwaukee. The organization’s two employees will move into an office suite adjacent to the new BizStarts location.

“The number of leading companies and organizations at Schlitz Park continues to grow. But even more important is the growing impact these tenants will make on downtown and the entire Milwaukee region,” said Schlitz Park developer Gary Grunau. “At Schlitz Park, we’ll support their mission-focused efforts and important stakeholder outreach with the spaces and amenities they need including state-of-the art formal and informal conference and gathering areas.”
