Milwaukee, WI (August 2, 2012) – Michael Best & Friedrich LLP is proud to announce that Matthew C. Carlson has been selected by In Business Magazine as one of the “40 Under 40: The 2012 Class.” Hundreds of executives were nominated and judged based on a number of criteria for this year’s class. The honorees demonstrate passion, professional success, community engagement, a willingness to work hard and an enthusiasm for outside interests.
As a partner and member of the firm’s Energy and Sustainability Industry Group, Transactional Practice Group and Land and Resources Subgroup, Mr. Carlson’s primary practice is concentrated on commercial real estate throughout the state of Wisconsin and the Midwest, including representing clients in sales and acquisitions, leasing, development, construction, land use and entitlement approvals, and the formation of commercial and residential condominiums.
Mr. Carlson is Chair of the Transportation and Parking Committee for Downtown Madison, Inc. and a member of various other organizations such as the Executive Committee and Board of Directors, for Downtown Madison, Inc., Wisconsin Builders Association, Madison Area Builders Association and Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association. He is also the President of the Friends of the Arboretum as well as the Director and President of the Friends of Capital Springs Recreation Area, Inc.
Mr. Carlson received his J.D. in 1988 from Boston University School of Law.
