Heartland Business Systems: Upgrades cloud services capacity

LITTLE CHUTE, WI – Heartland Business Systems recently upgraded its Little Chute data center to accommodate the increasing business demand for hosted or “cloud” IT services. The upgrade added a raised floor area to enhance climate control and server capacity and bring the Heartland data center to more than one hundred terabytes of data storage.

The upgrade also includes a second UPS (uninterruptable power supply), designed to bridge the gap between any utility power outage and the data center’s dual backup generators, which provide emergency power paths. The data center now features upgraded fire suppression and monitoring systems to provide more comprehensive status and problem alerts. Heartland’s data center already hosts a variety of cloud computing capabilities, including co-location services; desktop virtualization; virtual private servers; dedicated hosted servers; application, web and email hosting; data backup, storage and monitoring; and 24/7 network monitoring, security and support.
