Business Procurement Assistance Center: Calling all construction companies

Area businesses are invited to learn about government contracting for construction on Thursday, March 31st, when the Business Procurement Assistance Center (BPAC) conducts two training sessions at Volk Field in Camp Douglas. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with contracting officers.

“Introduction to Federal Construction Projects” will be held from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Attendees will learn to identify the types of contracts and solicitation methods, understand the Construction FAR, and the Davis-Bacon Labor provisions, manage contract changes, claims, and disputes, and understand contract requirements.

“Understanding Federal Construction Requirements” will be offered in the afternoon from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. This training session will focus on the unique requirements and regulations that apply to federal construction contracts. This is geared for prime contractors and subcontractors.

The fee is $35 per person, per session. Registration is required and limited. The deadline to register is Tuesday, March 29th.
