MILWAUKEE, Wis. (November 18, 2010) — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced that Kristin A. Occhetti, an associate in the Firm’s Milwaukee office, has been appointed to the associate board of the Zoological Society of Milwaukee (ZSM).

Ms. Occhetti is a member of the Firm’s Trusts & Estates group focusing her practice on estate planning and wealth preservation strategies for individuals, small business owners and professionals. Her experience includes preparing wills, trusts, financial and health care powers of attorney and planning traditional bypass trusts and marital deductions, generation-skipping transfer taxes, and asset protections. Ms. Occhetti earned her law degree, cum laude, from Marquette University Law School and her bachelor’s degree in Anthropology-Zoology from the University of Michigan.

ZSM was established in 1910 as an informal group of community leaders who bought animals and raised funds for the Zoo. Today it is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization with the mission to conserve wildlife and endangered species, educate people about the importance of wildlife and the environment, and to support the Milwaukee County Zoo. In the 2008-2009 fiscal year, the ZSM raised more than $6.6 million to support the Milwaukee County Zoo.
