Dept. of Commerce: Governor Doyle certifies Embedtek, LLC as Qualified New Business Venture

MADISON—Governor Jim Doyle announced today that Embedtek, LLC, Hartland, Waukesha County, has received the Qualified New Business Venture certification from the Department of Commerce (Commerce) for developing and manufacturing embedded computing solutions for equipment manufacturers. Commerce certified the company as eligible for up to $1 million in investor tax credits.

The company’s certification by Commerce makes investors in Embedtek, LLC eligible for a 25-percent tax credit on the amount they invest in the company.

“Embedtek has a foundation of innovative technology and strong leadership and is exactly the kind of company that we need to invest in,” Governor Doyle said. “I am pleased to support a company that represents the future of Wisconsin’s economy.”

Embedtek, LLC was formed in 2002. The company develops and manufactures embedded computing and electronic applications, such as exercise equipment controls and marine navigation systems.
