Milwaukee, Wis. – The law firm of Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C. (WHD) is pleased to announce that attorneys Eugenia (Gina) G. Carter and Kenneth R. Nowakowski have been named co-leaders of the firm’s Intellectual Property & Information Technology Practice Group.

Eugenia (Gina) G. Carter is a shareholder in WHD’s Madison office where she advises clients, including high technology manufacturers, computer software manufacturers, media companies and trade associations, on all aspects of intellectual property law protection and rights enforcement. She has litigated patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret cases in federal courts across the country. She earned her B.S., cum laude, from Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service, and her J.D., with honors, from Georgetown University Law Center.

Carter serves on the Board of Advisors of the University of Wisconsin E-Business Consortium; the Board of Directors for ALFA International Legal Network, the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, American Players Theatre and YWCA; the Executive Committee of A Fund for Women; and is a member of the Dane County Economic Development Revolving Loan Fund Committee.

Kenneth R. Nowakowski is a shareholder in WHD’s Milwaukee office where he concentrates his practice in commercial and business litigation, including intellectual property and technology related matters. His practice also includes arbitration, mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. He earned his A.B., summa cum laude, from Marquette University, and his J.D from Northwestern University School of Law.

Nowakowski is a member of Trial Attorneys of America, the American Bar Association (including its Section of Business Law and Committee on Consumer Financial Services), and the Milwaukee, Seventh Circuit, and Federal Circuit bar associations.
