OSHKOSH, Wis. (August 2, 2010) – Clifton Gunderson, ranked as one of the nation’s largest certified public accounting and consulting firms, today announced Cory Brumlic recently earned his Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential.
Brumlic joined the Oshkosh office of Clifton Gunderson in 2007 and has more than five years of experience in public accounting. His area of expertise includes audit and accounting for small- to medium-sized businesses in the manufacturing and Not-for-Profit industries. Brumlic received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
In order to become a CFE, an individual must successfully complete the CFE exam, given by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, which tests the candidates’ knowledge in fraud prevention and deterrence, fraudulent financial transactions, fraud investigation, and legal elements of fraud. An individual must also meet high professional, educational and ethical standards, as well as continuing professional education requirements.
