MADISON Each May, the directors of Wisconsin’s international trade offices visit the state to brief Wisconsin firms on changing conditions in key markets around the world. The group will be speaking at a half-day seminar at Lakeshore Technical College on May 12 from 8:00 a.m. until noon. The morning will include remarks, panels, networking and the opportunity to speak individually with an International Director from Brazil, Canada, China or Mexico.

“With all the changes taking place in markets around the world,” said Wisconsin Department of Commerce (Commerce) Secretary Aaron Olver, “it is important to get a clear picture of the opportunities available to Wisconsin exporters, as well as the different strategies that can lead to success.”

Whether an experienced exporter or completely new to the process, these briefings can help state businesspersons plan strategies for international success. Aside from hearing first-hand opportunities, participants will discuss differing practices and potential market opportunities, learn about available resources and network with other local companies to share export experiences.

The fee for the seminar is $15 and includes materials and a continental breakfast. To register, go to: rebekah.kubista@gotolc.edu or call 920/693-1651 by Tuesday, May 4.To reserve time to speak with an International Director please contact Brad Schneider, Export Development Manager at 608/347-2480 or go to: brad.schneider@wisconsin.gov
