Beloit, WI – ProStuff LLC of Rockford, IL will receive an award for their exporting expertise at the Stateline World Trade Association (SLWTA) dinner meeting on Thursday evening, April 22, 2010 at the Beloit Inn. Join us to hear ProStuff’s story of success in the BMX industry.

ProStuff LLC is a small manufacturer of starting gates for the BMX and Mountain Bike racing industry. The firm employs nine people at its manufacturing facility which is located in Rockford, Illinois. ProStuff LLC went from a base of zero exports in 2006 to exports in 40 countries today, which comprise 90% of their business.

In 2003, President Mr. Pierce Barker III and his team launched a new product for the BMX industry. In 2008 ProStuff LLC was selected as the sole provider of BMX starting gates for the Beijing Olympics. ProStuff has established installations in 40 countries as of September 1, 2009. Mr. Barker credits exports to having been able to retain five jobs and create four more jobs at his firm’s operations. Mr. Barker anticipates adding a new hire very soon and expects to increase manufacturing production by another 50 per cent within a year which will require the need to hire approximately 3-4 more employees to be able to support the increase in his business. ProStuff LLC is the new world standard in mountain bike racing.
