United Way is now accepting applications from local business for the Business Volunteer Award as part of the 2010 United Way Community Volunteer Awards, the largest volunteer recognition event in Dane County.
Business Volunteer Award: Companies with an employee volunteer program will be honored for their volunteer efforts that tackle the underlying causes of problems in our community. The award recipients each receive a $1,000 contribution to the non-profit at which they volunteer. The contribution for the business award winner is sponsored by the Business Volunteer Network.
To Submit a Nomination: Non-profits throughout Dane County, business members, and individuals who would like to nominate exceptional companies for the Business Volunteer Network’s Business Volunteer Award can find nomination forms and instructions online at http://www.unitedwaydanecounty.org/cvaform.html

The Community Volunteer Awards advance the community’s Agenda for Change by strengthening the connection between non-profit agencies and their volunteers as we work together to achieve measurable results in our community. Recognition of all nominees and the announcement of the Community Volunteer Award recipients will take place at a luncheon on April 22nd generously sponsored by CUNA Mutual Group, Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin, Physician’s Plus, and St. Mary’s Hospital.
