Project to Create 48 Jobs
MADISON – Governor Jim Doyle today announced that MCL Industries, Inc., of Pulaski has received a $1,650,000 Industrial Revenue Bond and an $86,000 allocation of Economic Development tax credits from the Department of Commerce (Commerce) for an expansion project that will create 48 local jobs. Commerce Secretary Richard Leinenkugel made the announcement today at a press conference in Pulaski.
“Wisconsin is definitely open for business and we must continue to invest in Pulaski and all our communities,” Governor Doyle said. “To ensure a strong future for the state, we will continue to support strong companies like MCL Industries that are committed to providing jobs for hardworking Wisconsin families.”
“I attribute the growth to the outstanding work ethic of the people in the community, the pro manufacturing environment of northeastern Wisconsin and an aggressive growth agenda of local companies,” said Gary Lofquist, CEO of MCL Industries.
The $2,000,000 expansion project is expected to create 48 jobs. To meet demand, MCL Industries, Inc. is constructing a 27,000 square-foot addition and adding machinery and working capital to expand its manufacturing capacity. The company currently employs 145 workers at its 70,000-square-ft. facility in Pulaski.
MCL Industries, Inc., founded in 1979, designs and assembles electrical control and power distribution systems used in military, commercial, and construction vehicles as well as the marine industry. The company received the Oshkosh Corporation Federal Supplier of the Year award in 2009.
