Marketplace Magazine: Celebrating 20th anniversary with a special issue, online now at www.marketplacemagazine.com

FOR MORE INFORMATION: Steve Prestegard (920) 982-2511

Marketplace began reporting Northeast Wisconsin business news in October 1989, with a cover story on car dealer John Bergstrom. Bergstrom, whose car dealership group now is the largest in Wisconsin, is the cover story of the 20th anniversary Marketplace. The issue features a timeline of 20 years of events in Northeast Wisconsin business, including nearly every cover of Marketplace since October 1989.

The special issue also chronicles growth in Northeast Wisconsin over the past 20 years, including in the insurance industry, which has become one of Northeast Wisconsin’s largest employers; the paper industry, which has seen perhaps more change than any other business group in Wisconsin; and the Green Bay Packers, whose past two decades have included a Super Bowl championship, changes in players, coaches and management, and the $295 million Lambeau Field renovation.

The Nov. 24 issue of Marketplace will include part two of 20 Years of Marketplace, featuring a look at the past two decades of improvements in Northeast Wisconsin’s quality of life, and a survey of opinions of what the next 20 years of Northeast Wisconsin business will be like.
