Leinenkugel Brewing Co.: Leinenkugel president offers water management insight at Craft Brewers Water Conservation Conference

WHAT: Media are invited to attend SPLASH!, an event celebrating water conservation and craft brewing where special guest Jake Leinenkugel will address attendees on the brewery’s dedication to brewing distinct, delicious craft beers, with a continued focus on water conservation and preservation. This evening reception will be held Monday, October 26, 2009 from 5-8:00 p.m. and is a part of the events making up the Great Lakes Craft Brewers & Water Conservation Conference. Representing Leinenkugel brewery’s deep history with community and environmental involvements, Mr. Leinenkugel will share how his brewery operations team has reduced water consumption per barrel of beer produced by 35 percent over the past eight years by finding ways to conserve and reuse water. Other topics will include specific examples of the Leinenkugel brewery’s efforts for water conservation and protection, minimizing energy and carbon impact and making a difference in the Northwoods community.
