(MADISON / October 8, 2009) – After losing its building to a devastating fire, 4-C (Community Coordinated Child Care, Inc.) will hold a ribbon-cutting and open house at its new facility at 5 Odana Court in Madison. The event will take place October 28, 2009 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. with ribbon-cutting taking place at 4:30 p.m. “We’re looking forward to sharing our new facility with child care providers, businesses and the community,” said Jody Bartnick, 4-C Executive Director. “We’ll be offering those attending a fresh perspective of the services 4-C provides to the community.” City of Madison Mayor Dave Cieslewicz will assist with the ribbon-cutting as well as a representative from the child care profession.

The agency’s previous building was deemed a total loss after an August 13, 2008 fire. The new building, built on the same foundation, is being supported by a capital campaign that will allow the agency to focus on services instead of financing a mortgage. Individuals or organizations making a donation of $250 or more will receive an engraved brick taken from the remains of the old 4-C building that burned down. This is the first time in the agency’s 38-year history the agency has looked to the community to help fund a formal fundraising campaign. For information on making a donation, visit http://www.4-c.org.
