(MADISON / September 4, 2009) – After losing its building to a devastating fire, 4-C (Community Coordinated Child Care, Inc.) has moved into a new facility built on the existing foundation at the agency’s previous location at 5 Odana Court in Madison.
“We’re excited to be back “home,” said Jody Bartnick, 4-C Executive Director, “and thrilled to be continuing to serve the community from our new facility.” The new building is being supported by a capital campaign that will allow the agency to focus on services instead of financing a mortgage. Individuals or organizations making a donation of $250 or more will receive an engraved brick taken from the remains of the old 4-C building that burned down. This is the first time in the agency’s 38-year history the agency has looked to the community to help fund a formal fundraising campaign. In existence since 1971, Community Coordinated Child Care, Inc. (4-C) is part of an association of non-profit Wisconsin child care resource and referral agencies. 4-C provides a range of early childhood support services to families, child care providers and communities in southern Wisconsin. 4-C certifies family child care homes in Columbia and Dane Counties, administers the CACFP in 20 Wisconsin Counties, offers a child care referral service and options to parents and employers, and provides professional development and training opportunities for early childhood professionals. The agency’s mission is to ensure that every child has access to high quality early care and education through integrated support and expertise.
