Standard Imaging, Inc. is pleased to announce that it recently raised nearly $17,500 for the American Cancer Society, as part of its 8th Annual Golf Classic fundraiser, held on May 15, 2009, at The Meadows of Six Mile Creek golf course. The 151 participants, drawn from Standard Imaging employees, other local firms and the University of Wisconsin, persevered questionable weather, but enjoyed friendly competition during the 18-hole scramble event.

For the 8th consecutive year, Standard Imaging bested its prior year’s fundraising effort.
Money was raised through entrance fees, sponsorships, donations, in addition to a raffle and silent auction held following the day’s play. Standard Imaging’s portion of the money raised totaled nearly $8000 this year and since 2002 the company has now raised more than $125,000 for the American Cancer Society’s, Relay for Life. Standard Imaging wishes to thank all of the sponsors and participants who supported this worthy cause.

The money will be combined with other Standard Imaging fundraising efforts as part of the American Cancer Society’s, Relay for Life campaign. Once its fundraising efforts are concluded in mid-June, Standard Imaging will then present it to the American Cancer Society, resulting in an anticipated total donation of nearly $20,000. The organization will use the money in its ongoing fight against cancer.
