Beloit, WI – Electrol Specialties of South Beloit, IL and Serola Biomechanics, Inc. of Loves Park, IL will receive awards for their exporting expertise at the Stateline World Trade Association (SLWTA) meeting on Thursday evening, April 23, 2009 at the Beloit Inn. Representatives from each company will share the reasons behind their success in the international arena. Join us to hear about and congratulate our two Export Achievement Award Winners for 2009.

Electrol Specialties manufactures custom fabricated stainless steel equipment and controls for biotech and pharmaceutical companies. The company’s reputation for quality and innovation with its United States based customers provided the opportunity to offer its products to the international affiliates of the United States based customers. All of the international sales were achieved in this manner and have resulted in repeat sales. The company began exporting in 2007 and now has a significant number of sales in export to Singapore, Japan, Denmark and Ireland.

Serola Biomechanics, Inc. educates health professionals, and the public, about the sacroiliac joint, which is the most common cause of back, pelvic, and leg pain. Serola Biomechanics manufactures sacroiliac belts, elbow braces, and inflatable pelvic blocks. They began exporting in 2000 and have had a significant increase of sales in export in the past three years to Canada, Europe, Australia, Japan, and Singapore.

The SLWTA has given its Exporter’s Award to companies since 1991. Since 2005 the SLWTA has extended their search for companies to both Illinois and Wisconsin. The awards go to companies that have expanded their business with export sales and signify that the companies have “gone global” and have exported product/service to many parts of the world. Many of the companies that have received previous awards have also qualified for receiving the WI State’s Exporter of the Year Award.

The Awards Dinner will start with networking and cash bar at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6:15 p.m. and program immediately following dinner. The menu for the evening is braised beef, whipped potatoes, jullenne vegetables, salad, rolls, dessert and beverage. Dietary restrictions should be noted when registering. Cost is $25 for members, $30 for non-members and $15 for students with I.D. Registrations must be received by April 21. Register by calling Jennifer Bonk at (608) 365-8835 or via e-mail at info@slwta.org.
