Governor Doyle Announces Wausau Equipment Company, Inc. Expansion

Project to create 34 jobs

MADISON – Governor Jim Doyle today announced that Wausau Equipment Company, Inc., in Fond du Lac will receive $221,000 in Enterprise Development Zone tax credits for an expansion project.

“Manufacturing is one of the real cornerstones of our state,” Governor Doyle said. “I’m pleased that Wausau Equipment Company, Inc. has chosen to expand in Fond du Lac and that we could assist the company in creating job opportunities for hardworking Wisconsin families in Fond du Lac County.”

Wausau Equipment Company, Inc. manufactures heavy-duty snowplows and airport ice-control equipment. To meet anticipated market opportunities and improve efficiencies, the company is developing a testing, assembly and R&D facility. The new facility will comprise 22,050 sq. ft. Total project cost is $2.4 million. The project is expected to create 34 jobs.
