FARMINGDALE, N.Y., Aug. 11 — DCI Cheese Company a leading manufacturer and supplier of cheese products announced today the successful implementation of RIMS Warehouse Management System from Robocom Systems International in their Green Bay, WI facility. The successful implementation of RIMS will manage DCI’s finished goods and raw material inventory. Green Bay is the second distribution center which DCI has implemented Robocom’s WMS software. Their first RIMS location is in Moonachie, NJ.
The Green Bay operation is the largest packaging/distribution facility for DCI Cheese Company producing 120 million pounds and 1,500 different SKU’s of cheese each year. The warehouse operation contains over 90,000 square feet, including 70,000 square feet of cold storage and employs approximately 50 people.
The complexity of this operation is driven by DCI’s ongoing emphasis on meeting the increasingly complex customer demands for alternative packaging configurations on an increasingly shorter cycle time. Change management was a critical factor in this successful implementation as DCI moves from a make to order to a make to stock business environment.

DCI is excited to complete this implementation; we are now focusing on the RIMS installation at our new operation in Carlstadt, NJ.”
