Northwestern Mutual Foundation Honors 25 Top Volunteers

Donating $265,000 to service organizations nationwide

MILWAUKEE, July 21 /PRNewswire/ — The Northwestern Mutual Foundation announced today that they are donating $265,000 to 25 non-profit organizations across the U.S. through its national Community Service Award program. The annual competition, open to more than 9,000 representatives of the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, recognizes exemplary volunteer involvement and dedication to charitable organizations and philanthropic projects.

Twenty-four “Outstanding Volunteers,” are recognized and honored for their achievements with a grant of $10,000 to each organization they represent. One “Most Exceptional Volunteer” is named and awarded a $25,000 grant for their designated non-profit. (see list of winners)

We recognize our representatives for their community involvement and we help improve the quality of life in the communities our representatives serve.”

Now in its 14th year, the Community Service Award program is open to more than 9,000 representatives of the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network and recognizes exemplary volunteer involvement and dedication to charitable organizations and philanthropic projects. Since its inception, more than $2.2 million has been contributed to over 200 non-profit organizations nationwide on behalf of Community Service Award winners.
