Transforming Lives with The Road Home Dane County
MADISON, Wis., March 26, 2019 — Kahler Slater has committed to a two-year partnership with The Road Home Dane County as part of its corporate core value to “contribute to the communities we serve.”
According to The Road Home Dane County, on any given day 100 – 125 families are without stable housing in our community. Over 1,200 children in the Madison School District were identified as homeless last year. The Kahler Slater team hopes to support The Road Home’s efforts to help families find and maintain stable, affordable housing.
“We are proud to be partnering with The Road Home Dane County to help address family homelessness in the Madison area,” says Kahler Slater’s associate, Andrea Day. “Their vision is that every child deserves a home, and we believe what they say, ‘that by working together we can make sure every child in our community has one’. We look forward to contributing to this mission.”
In the coming year, Kahler Slater will be supporting The Road Home by volunteering at special events, helping to update the design of some office spaces and donating wish list items, including personal care products. This includes a company-wide event in September as part of the Annual Kahler Slater Retreat and Community Service Day.

The two-year community partnerships are a firmwide initiative. Kahler Slater’s Milwaukee office is working in collaboration with the Guest House Milwaukee (www.guesthousemilwaukee.org) which provides shelter, housing, education and services to Milwaukee’s homeless who seek to transform their lives with dignity and purpose. The Richmond office is partnering with Safe Harbor (www.safeharborshelter.com) to support those who are experiencing or have experienced domestic violence, sexual violence or human trafficking.
