MADISON – The Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin contest is once again proving to be extremely popular with more than 5,000 votes cast on the first day. That is more than double the amount of votes cast on the first day of last year’s contest. The full list of nominees is available at www.madeinwis.com.

Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) and Johnson Financial Group – the contest’s sponsors – encourage Wisconsinites to participate in this first round of voting, which goes until Sunday, Sept. 16 at 11:59pm.

Individuals can vote once per day per device for one of the 160 nominees competing for a spot in the Top 16. The Top 16 products that move on to the next round will be placed in a bracket-style tournament called Manufacturing Madness. Products that qualify for the Manufacturing Madness bracket will be announced via Facebook Live on WMC’s Facebook page on Monday, Sept. 17.

Products will face off in head-to-head match-ups until a Top 4 is determined. The ultimate winner will be chosen by a popular vote of the Top 4. To vote, anyone can visit www.madeinwis.com.
