MADISON—All are welcome on Saturday, August 12 to a naturalist-led walk featuring summer prairie birds and blooms at Lake Farm County Park (4330 Libby Road, Madison 53711). We will walk from 9 am to about noon starting from the parking lot at shelter #3.

Lake Farm County Park is part of the 2,500-acre Capital Springs Recreation Area located in southeast Madison.

We hope to hear sedge wrens, spot sandhill cranes, and enjoy the color of mature prairie in August bloom. The trail is rated easy; please bring plenty of water, insect spray and sun protection. Binoculars are recommended.

In case of inclement weather, please check the Friends of Capital Springs Recreation Area web site: www.friendsofcapitalsprings.org.

This event is made possible by a grant from the Natural Resources Foundation. The Friends of Capital Springs Recreation Area work to connect visitors to the park through educational and recreational opportunities with many different events throughout the year.
