Madison, WI – February 8, 2017 – Dr. Shenita Brokenburr has been appointed to the Board of Directors of UW Credit Union. Brokenburr is currently the Senior Associate Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for the University of Wisconsin System.

“Shenita brings a great depth of leadership experience and knowledge across the human resources spectrum,” said Paul Kundert, President & CEO of UW Credit Union. “We are excited to welcome her to the Board and have her contributions further help the needs of our 223,000 members.”

Brokenburr has an extensive background in talent management, higher education human resources and workforce development and has held leadership positions in the higher education, government, business and non-profit sectors. In her current position with the University of Wisconsin System, she leads the Human Resources, Workforce Diversity and the HR Service Center. Brokenburr also oversees a comprehensive array of services, including policy development, program management and technical operations in support of 26 colleges and universities in the UW System. She has previously held roles at the Ounce of Prevention Fund in Chicago and the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission.

UW Credit Union’s Board of Directors is comprised of nine volunteers who are active members of the credit union. They are responsible for the overall direction of the affairs and performance of UW Credit Union. The Board carries out this responsibility by establishing guiding policy and monitoring the performance of management within the framework of these policies.
