Joint integrity specialist Hydratight has reached its “Goal Zero” target for Health and Safety for 2015/16.
The Health Safety Security and Environment (HSSE) team has achieved 12 months without a recordable incident in the Americas and Asia Pacific, contributing to over one million working hours globally.
Hydratight’s “Goal Zero” ambition, which was established in the mid-1990s, aims to ensure zero quality defects, zero environmental incidents and zero injury or damage.
The global team of over 500 employees has worked 1,529,146 hours since the last recorded incident, completing projects in nuclear energy, oil and gas pipelines, manufacturing and petrochemical refining.
Dave Stout, Global HSSE Leader, Hydratight, said: “Twelve months without a recordable incident is a significant achievement, especially as the sectors we work in expose our employees to some of the most difficult locations and processes around the world. As a team we have proved again that safety is a priority and a central value of the organisation.
“The drive for zero has focused on empowering employees to take charge of their safety as well as the safety of co-workers, through extensive HSSE training and communication at every level, from field service technicians to the leadership team.
“The “Goal Zero” approach is not just a logo for safety and environmental activity within the organisation, but a statement of intent, signalling that the safety and welfare of our teams is at the heart of everything we do.”
Since the last recordable incident, there have been 1,192,070 hours worked in the Americas, 630,663 in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, 419,808 in ESSAI and 580,899 hours worked in the Middle-East, North Africa and Caspian region (MENAC).
Hydratight has maintained detailed safety and environmental performance records since 1996.
