Wisconsin Corn Growers Association: Begins search for communications specialist

Wisconsin Corn Growers Association recently began the search for a Communications Specialist and hopes to select a candidate by early December. 
 

“We are excited to fill this position,” said Casey Kelleher, WCGA president. “We are looking for someone who wants to learn more about the corn industry and organizations that support corn growers.” 

 

Kelleher went on to say that the board is seeking someone with an agricultural background and experience in public relations, design, and social media. The Communications Specialist position has been listed and some of the duties are: 

  • Maintain and update website content in coordination with Wisconsin Corn Program partner needs
  • Create and publish bi-monthly newsletter
  • Manage social media content and promotions 
  • Manage public relations presence and projects
  • Coordinate participation at trade shows
  • Represent organization at NCGA and USGC events
  • Be a constant professional representative of the Wisconsin corn industry
  • Handle media inquiries and correspondences, as needed
  • Coordinate ethanol promotion projects with ethanol industry partners
  • Assist Executive Director with projects, as needed
