Schenck Announces New Shareholders

WISCONSIN – Schenck SC is pleased to announce Christa Baldridge, CPA; Jamie Brown, CPA; Brent Engelsma, CPA; Jason Kiehnau, CPA; and Mark Vance, CPA, have recently been named shareholders of the organization.

Baldridge has more than fifteen years of experience providing tax planning, consulting and compliance services to privately-held businesses and individuals, with a concentration in serving the manufacturing & distribution and trucking & logistics industries. She specializes in corporate and flow-through entities and assisting clients with succession planning, including merger, acquisition and transition to management or next generation family members.

Baldridge graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and has been with Schenck since 2013. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants (WICPA), Professional Dimensions, Inc., Women’s Affinity Alliance, Women in Manufacturing–Milwaukee Chapter and the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse Alumni Association. Baldridge serves on the Board of Directors for Ducks Unlimited–Downtown Milwaukee Chapter. She also serves on a number of committees including the Susan G. Komen Foundation–Southeastern Wisconsin Chapter Finance Committee, United Way of Greater Milwaukee–Healthy Girls Advisory Committee and is the Co-Chair of the 100th Anniversary Celebration Committee for the Junior League of Milwaukee, Inc.

Brown is an experienced tax advisor to closely-held businesses and their owners, providing tax research, proactive planning and compliance. His background includes serving as the controller for a commercial real estate company for three years. He draws on this real-world experience to meet the needs of clients in the real estate and construction industries. Brown also works with numerous manufacturers. He has extensive experience with the preparation and review of individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns.

Brown graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. He is a member of the AICPA and WICPA, a graduate of Leadership Fox Cities and an avid hunter and fisherman. He began his career with Schenck in 1999, and rejoined the firm in 2010.

Engelsma has more than 13 years of experience leading audit, review and compilation engagements. He is skilled in projections, consolidations, employee benefit plan audits, and tax compliance and planning. He helps clients work through the challenges facing their businesses such as finding answers to accounting or tax issues, planning for the future, and lending his expertise to help them better their business.

Engelsma is a graduate of Grand Valley State University where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. He is a member of the Sheboygan Noon Optimists as well as the AICPA and WICPA. He and his wife, Linden, live in Sheboygan and have three children.

Kiehnau has over 17 years of public accounting experience working as an accounting, tax and business consultant with clients in the auto dealership, retail, and real estate & construction industries. He serves as a leader of Schenck’s Dealership Team and is a member of the Retail and Real Estate & Construction teams. In addition, Kiehnau has two years of private industry experience working as a general manager/controller with an import and domestic auto dealership. He has been involved in the valuation of auto dealerships as well as numerous dealership sales and acquisitions.

Kiehnau has been with Schenck since 1998 and graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point with a Bachelor of Business Studies in Accounting and Business Administration. He is a member of the Wisconsin Automobile & Truck Dealers Association (WATDA), the AICPA and the WICPA. He also serves on WATDA’s roundtable and is a member and volunteer of Trout Unlimited–Green Bay Chapter.

Vance has over twenty years of experience providing tax, audit and accounting services to businesses and individuals. His focus is in the areas of tax compliance, planning and consulting for privately owned businesses in a wide variety of industries including real estate & construction, manufacturing, distribution, service and retail. He also provides tax planning and compliance services to high net worth individuals.

Vance graduated Cum Laude from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. He joined Schenck in 1986 and is a member of AICPA and WICPA.
