Merton, Wis. – James G. Herro, an independent insurance agent and owner of the Lake Country-based James G. Herro Agency, has received the Five Star Home/Auto Insurance Professional Award for exceptional customer service, after being nominated by those very same customers.
Herro, a veteran insurance professional who opened the James G. Herro Agency in 2012, was honored by the independent Five Star Professional research service after an in-depth evaluation process. The Five Star Home/Auto Insurance Professional roll includes less than 7 percent of the home and auto insurance professionals in a geographic market.
“I’m extremely honored and humbled by this award, especially knowing that my own customers made the nomination,” said Herro, whose professional certifications include Accredited Advisor in Insurance and Associate in Insurance Services. “Insurance can be complex and confusing. My approach to customer service is about finding the best possible coverages at the best rates while ensuring that people understand the process involved.”
Herro provides a full range of insurance products and options for individuals and small businesses. He employs a “Personal Insurance Review” with customers to pinpoint their coverage needs, and chooses from nearly two dozen insurers to find the best fit.
“I focus on ‘plain English” explanations of all insurance policies, so that people know exactly what they’re buying,” Herro said. “Creating educated consumers is the essence of customer service. I am extremely grateful for the many loyal customers who allow me to work with them.”
Five Star Professional selects its award recipients by annually surveying consumers, professional peers and firms, and undertaking a thorough research and evaluation process. Honorees must satisfy five objective eligibility and evaluation criteria associated with home and auto insurance professionals who provide quality service. No fees are involved. Self-nominations are not accepted.
Award recipients in the Five Star Home/Auto Insurance Professional Program must hold an insurance license and be in good standing. Regulatory review is part of the evaluation process.
Herro, an independent insurance agent since 2006, is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
