Smart Motors: Matt Kenseth coming to Smart Toyota

NASCAR Legend to Sign Autographs July 14

After amassing 31 career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series wins, two Daytona 500 titles and a series championship, it seems like there’s not much Matt Kenseth hasn’t accomplished in his racing career. That is, except one thing—making an appearance at Smart Toyota. That will change on July 14 when Kenseth comes to Smart Toyota, 5901 Odana Road, from 6 to 8 p.m. for a free autograph signing session for his fans.

“Matt’s a local, hailing from Cambridge, so he’s always been a legend on the Wisconsin racing scene,” said Allen Foster, Vice President/General Manager of Smart Toyota.

Throughout Kenseth’s career, he recorded record-breaking accomplishments, like becoming the only rookie to ever win the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte, and joining legends Dale Earnhardt, Jeff Gordon, David Pearson and Richard Petty as the only drivers in NASCAR history to win the Sprint Cup Series Rookie of the Year Award, win a Daytona 500 and become series champion. While still in high school, Kenseth kicked off his racing career by becoming the youngest winner in the ARTGO Challenge Series with a win in LaCrosse. He also won the Miller Genuine Draft National Championships at age 22—the youngest to ever accomplish this feat.

To celebrate this homecoming, Smart Toyota will host Kenseth on July 14. Wristbands for the autograph line will be distributed at 5 p.m., and Matt will sign autographs from 6 to 8 p.m. Matt’s No. 20 Dollar General Toyota Camry NASCAR Sprint Cup Series show car will also be on site for fans to see and photograph. A NASCAR racing simulator will also be at Smart Toyota to let fans get a feel for what Kenseth has accomplished from his humble Cambridge roots. Fans can purchase racing memorabilia from Matt Kenseth’s Fan Club Souvenir trailer from 3 to 8 p.m.

“Going from Madison International Speedway all the way to the top of NASCAR ranks makes Matt a true legend in the sport, and this represents a great homecoming for him,” said Foster.
