Dept. of Children and Families: Announces new leadership team

MADISON – Today Department of Children and Families Secretary Eloise Anderson announced the appointment of Joan Hansen as Deputy Secretary and MaryAnn Lippert as Executive Assistant.

“This outstanding team represents a great blend of experience in government, non-profit and private industry,” said Secretary Anderson. “With all that Joan and MaryAnn bring, we can tackle the challenges that face Wisconsin’s children and families and ensure that taxpayer resources are used effectively.”

Joan Hansen brings over 25 years of experience with the legislature and in policy development. Joan has particular expertise in building coalitions and engaging the public and community leaders. Most recently, Joan managed public service delivery for Milwaukee County.

MaryAnn Lippert served as a member of the State Assembly from 2001 until 2003 where she served as Vice Chair of the Assembly Committee on Children and Families. In her 30 years as a health educator, MaryAnn honed her management and policy skills. Most recently, she worked at Marshfield Clinic in Business Development and Business Services.
