Madison Children’s Museum: Tickets on sale for Tea & Trains holiday fundraiser

MADISON, Wis. (November 11, 2010) — Tickets are on sale at MadisonChildrensMuseum.org for Madison Children’s Museum’s annual holiday event, Tea & Trains, which will be held Saturday, December 4, from 10:30 a.m.–2 p.m. at the Madison Club, 5 E. Wilson Street.

Families can get in the holiday spirit with a variety of activities, including:

* a special reading of Robert L. May’s Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer by Anne Grady

* a holiday high tea, including hot chocolate and other delicious treats

* Conductor Joe Schappel’s private American Flyer electric train collection

* formal holiday portraits

* unique holiday crafts

* a great silent auction, with many items for the gift-savvy shopper

Tickets cost $35 each, or there is an option to purchase a variety of ticket packages. Please visit the museum’s website for details. Order them today, because this event typically sells out by late November.

The museum also is seeking items for the silent auction. Event tickets, new toys, and gift certificates are examples of acceptable items. Donations may be tax-deductible. Please contact Adam at 608.256.6445, ext. 536.
