Projects to create 165 positions

MADISON—Governor Jim Doyle today announced that HUSCO International, Inc. (HUSCO), Waukesha, Waukesha County, will invest approximately $30 million to expand its manufacturing capabilities at its Waukesha and Whitewater facilities.

“My number one priority this year has been helping our businesses create jobs and giving our workers the opportunities to get those jobs,” Governor Doyle said. “I am pleased we could help HUSCO expand and create new jobs for hardworking families in Wisconsin.”

“I’m proud to have worked with state, local and company leaders to create new jobs in Whitewater and Waukesha,” Rep. Kim Hixson said. “HUSCO is a great manufacturer that will create hundreds of jobs for hardworking local families.”

HUSCO International, Inc., headquartered in Waukesha, manufactures hydraulic and electro-hydraulic controls for use on mobile equipment. It serves the automotive, agriculture, and construction industries. The company will upgrade and expand its facilities in Waukesha and Whitewater.

The Waukesha facility will receive $400,000 in tax credits from the Economic Development Tax Credit Program from the Department of Commerce (Commerce). This project creates 75 jobs and represents $8,013,500 in investment. The Whitewater facility will receive $606,000 from the Community Development Block Grant-Economic Development Program from Commerce, creating 90 jobs. This project represents $22,292,000 in investment.
