Project to create 26 jobs

MADISON—Governor Jim Doyle today announced that Indianhead Plating, Inc., Chippewa Falls, Chippewa County, will receive up to $130,000 in tax credits from the Economic Development Tax Credit Program from the Department of Commerce (Commerce) for an expansion project.

“One of my top priorities is to help move companies and communities forward and create good-paying jobs for our citizens,” said Governor Doyle. “I’m pleased that we could assist Indianhead Plating, Inc. in bringing new jobs to the area.”

Indianhead Plating, Inc., established in 1978, specializes in industrial hard-chrome plating and cylindrical grinding. It practices environmentally-friendly production methods. It will construct and equip a 19,200-sq.-ft. addition to its current facility. The company will install a honing operation for engine liners and a cleaning and assembly operation for components used in mining trucks. The total project cost is $750,000. The project is expected to create 26 jobs.
