Milwaukee, WI – Texture, 606 S. 5th Street, a Walker’s Point nightclub, will remain open after a court ordered on Friday that there is a likelihood that the City of Milwaukee did not properly follow the law during the license renewal process. The club will remain open until the court case is completed.

Circuit Court Judge Charles Kahn, Jr., after listening to hours of arguments, in his Friday afternoon decision, granted the requested temporary restraining order, and stated that there was an appearance that the city failed to follow the procedure as outlined in the state statute and the local ordinance. Judge Kahn further commented that the city failed to refute any of the numerous accusations and challenges made by Texture in its lawsuit.

Donato Salvo, one of Texture’s owners, was pleased with the decision, stating that “My business partners and I were wronged by the actions of the City of Milwaukee. The city cannot continue to treat club owners this way.”

The case is scheduled for another hearing on August 17th. Texture is represented by Attorneys David Halbrooks and Michael Maistelman.
