Lumberjack Steam Train: Authentic cowboy reenactment July 10 in Laona

LAONA, WI – On Saturday, July 10, Step back in time and come take part in a Wild West train robbery. An authentic Cowboy Reenactment and robbery of the Lumberjack Steam train. Come and ride the train and experience the Wild West up close.

The group of cowboy re-enactors, known as the Green Bush-Wackers, portray, in authentic period costumes, characters such as cowboys, bandits, a preacher, mountain men and card sharks. In addition to the train robbery, the group will form a posse that will bring the bandits to justice!

The entire family will be thrilled to experience this exciting and interactive performance. Come take part in this Wild West Train Robbery!

The Lumberjack Steam Train is located in Laona, Wisconsin within convenient driving distance of Chicago and all points in Wisconsin. Tickets on the Lumberjack Steam Train include the round-trip ride and admission into the Wisconsin Forestry Museum Complex of historic and natural attractions, including the Logging Museum and Blacksmith Shop, Green Treasure Forest Tour, Animal Barn and Corral, the Nature Center, Cracker Barrel Store, Francis Weiner Diesel Static Display and Choo Choo Hut Restaurant & Picnic Area. Hear the whistle blowing and clack of the wheels on the rail as you sit in authentic coaches and cabooses. Come for the ride and stay for the fun, and share in memories and enjoyment suitable for all ages.

The Lumberjack Steam Train has four runs a day, rain or shine, to the Wisconsin Forestry Museum complex and is open Monday through Saturday. The last summer run is August 28. Group rates are available.
