Developer to add new store to area mall
Chicago, Illinois (June 24, 2010) – Joseph Freed and Associates LLC announced today closing of the sale to Target Corporation of a 6.75 acre parcel at the northwest end of Hilldale Mall.
A 150,000 square foot Target store has been designed for the Madison community, with 460 spaces of parking below. Construction of the new Target store will begin with the land closing and the store is projected to open in 2011.
Larry Freed, President of Joseph Freed and Associates LLC, announced the sale. “We are excited to have Target join us at Hilldale. The new Target store will enhance the overall shopping experience for visitors to Hilldale Mall and the new jobs it brings will be good for this community”.
Tom Carrico, a Target Real Estate manager, said, “Target is excited to be bringing one of its stores to Hilldale. We have been working with the community to make sure the store fits in with its surroundings and provides the first class shopping experience we promise our guests.”
The popular Hilldale Mall, recently renovated by Freed, counts among its tenants Macy’s, the nation’s first Sundance Cinema, Metcalfe’s Sentry Foods, Anthropologie, L’Occitane, The North Face, Title Nine, Aveda, Fair Indigo, Hot Mama, Morgan’s Shoes, Great Dane Brewery, Flat Top Grill, Fleming’s Steakhouse, Sushi Muramoto, Café Porta Alba, and Pasqual’s.
