Managing Partner Charles W. Pautsch and Associates Lisa A. Baiocchi and Brian G. Nuedling join Jackson Lewis from Constangy, Brooks & Smith, LLP. This office marks the 13th Jackson Lewis office opened since 2008.

With existing offices in Cincinnati, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Indianapolis, Minneapolis and Omaha, adding a Milwaukee location further solidifies the firm’s position as a leading labor and employment law presence in the Midwest.

Charles W. Pautsch has over 32 years of experience negotiating collective bargaining agreements with various private and public sector unions, advising employers during union organizing campaigns, serving as labor counsel to major nationwide healthcare and retail corporations and litigating numerous cases in federal and state courts and various federal and state administrative agencies, most particularly the National Labor Relations Board, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the Department of Labor, the Illinois Human Rights Commission and Wisconsin’s Department of Workforce Development. He has negotiated with many major unions and his professional highlights include service in the following positions: Labor Relations Director for Hillhaven Corporation, where he was responsible for labor negotiations for the company’s four hundred nursing homes; Labor Relations Staff Counsel for Household Merchandising, Inc.; and City Attorney for the City of Aurora, Illinois.

Mr. Pautsch has been distinguished as a “Leading Illinois Attorney” through peer selection, a distinction awarded to less than five percent of all attorneys in the State of Illinois. In 2009 he was listed in “The International Who’s Who of Management Labour & Employment Lawyers.” He is a member of the Labor and Employment Law Sections of the American Bar Association, Illinois Bar Association, State Bar of Wisconsin, Chicago Bar Association and Milwaukee Bar Association.

Mr. Pautsch received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University Of Illinois College Of Law and his B.A., summa cum laude, from North Central College.

Lisa A. Baiocchi concentrates her practice on labor and employment litigation in both state and federal court as well as representing her clients in matters before administrative agencies. She has extensive experience in the Human Resources field as a consultant, benefit plan administrator, senior benefits analyst, retirement plan specialist and payroll specialist. She has handled issues relating to COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, retirement and welfare plans, and pension administration. Ms. Baiocchi earned the designation of a Qualified 401(k) Administrator through the American Society of Pension Actuaries.

She is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, American Bar association and Society for Human Resource Management.

Ms. Baiocchi received her J.D. from Marquette University Law School, where she served as President of the Labor and Employment Law Society and founded the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund, and her B.A. in Human Resources from the University of Milwaukee.

Brian G. Nuedling concentrates his practice on labor and employment litigation and appellate matters. He has represented clients in matters before both state and federal courts, as well as administrative agencies, in several states, including Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and Iowa.

Mr. Nuedling is admitted to practice before all courts of the State of Wisconsin, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern, Central and Southern Districts of Illinois.

Mr. Nuedling is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and the American Bar Association. He is a member of the Editorial Board of the American Bar Association’s Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Law Journal.

Mr. Nuedling received his J.D. from Marquette University Law School. He holds an M.A. in Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and a B.A. in journalism from Marquette University.
