Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation: Workplace Safety 101 workshop set for June 14

Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC), Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) and the Chippewa Valley Innovation Center (CVIC) have partnered up to host a Workplace Safety 101 Workshop to be held on Monday, June 14th from 8-10am at the CVIC located at 3132 Louis Avenue, Eau Claire.

The main topics Workplace Safety 101 are:

* The importance of safety and how it impacts your business;

* How good a safety program can positively affect your business and increase productivity;

* Getting started setting up a safety training program within your business.

The workshop presenter Steven Senor an instructor and program coordinator for the CVTC is authorized in MSHA, OSHA, American Red Cross , First aid and CPR training and will share his experience in emergency preparedness and response training and services, incident command and fire safety.

“Safety training is essential in the workplace and creates a positive impact within the workforce and productively and is vital to your business success!” stated Charlie Walker, President/CEO of CCEDC. “Teaming up with the CVTC to provide this high quality training is an excellent addition to the CCEDC business retention program.”

Beginning at 10:30am there will be free one-on-one safety consulting sessions for business leaders to inquire about specific safety questions or needs. Please RSVP for a session to secure your time.
