JW Public Relations: National journalists and PR pros to share insider tips on getting news coverage

Do you know what is going on in your field and what will make you and your business stand out? Can you be an industry expert? Does your company have a unique product or service? You should be making news.

National journalists and experienced PR professionals are sharing insider tips on how to get news coverage in a one-hour webinar at 11 a.m. EDT on Tues., May 4.

Many small and mid-sized businesses aren’t capitalizing on opportunities to get positive news coverage. The panelists will share how small business owners and entrepreneurs can discover and maximize PR opportunities to grow their business. Topics will include:

* What is a press release? How do I write a good one?

* What makes news

* Ideas for news coverage

* Strategies for better coverage

* How do I reach out to bloggers?

* How can I maximize my website’s PR potential?

* Tips on visuals

* Media pitching

Webinar panelists include Bob Helbig, deputy business editor at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Tanya Gadzik Irwin of Media Post and Tom Chmielewski, veteran journalist and author. Jennifer Wezensky, owner of JW Public Relations and journalist, will lead the webinar.

“In an age when good news moves fast and bad news goes viral in a matter of seconds, it is imperative that companies harness the power of a good news angle,” Wezensky said.

The registration fee of $69 includes the webinar and a Q&A session with the journalists.
