TEMPO Milwaukee: Forbes editor to address economy, national political landscape in 2010

WHO/WHAT: Carl Lavin, managing editor of Forbes and Forbes.com, will be discussing the economy and national political landscape at the TEMPO Milwaukee meeting Thursday. According to Lavin, “Coming out of a recession, there are very uneven signs of a small but significant turn upward among many key signs of economic health.” He will elaborate on these signs during his talk. Lavin will also address Tuesday’s Senate election in Massachusetts and the implications the results will have on national politics, specifically health care.

Lavin oversees day-to-day management of the Forbes newsroom, which serves an audience of more than 20 million people a month online at Forbes.com and through the Forbes magazine.

A veteran of newsrooms in Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Washington and New York, Lavin has helped direct Pulitzer-level coverage of issues ranging from the urban underclass to the 9/11 terror attacks.
