Anunson Chiropractic only uses Activator Method

At the request of patients seeking a lower force chiropractic adjustment, Dean Health Plan (DHP) asked Anunson Chiropractic of Madison to join its provider network. Anunson Chiropractic exclusively uses the Activator, an instrument that provides a low-force high-speed adjustment. Compared to the traditional method of cracking joints, the Activator offers quick and controlled adjustments. The Activator is a small hand-held instrument that the chiropractor uses to gently align the vertebra so there’s no need to manipulate or twist any area of the spine. Muscles are less likely to resist the lower impact, which allows a chiropractor experienced with the method to provide a more precise adjustment.

DHP conducted due diligence both to research the method as well as the value of proficiency certification to patient care. DHP approached and then selected Dr. Wade Anunson, who teaches the method to other chiropractors. Anunson has an Advanced Proficiency Rating in Activator Methods, which is enjoyed by less than 2,000 doctors worldwide. Some of the main reasons DHP selected Anunson Chiropractic is because of his proficiency rating and his exclusive use of Activator Methods; his clinic is the only one in Madison of its kind. Studies suggest greater reliability, patient satisfaction and overall cost effectiveness with the Activator Method. Dr. Anunson is a 1994 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic and has practiced locally for the last 15 years; in 2006 he opened a new clinic in Madison.

DHP patients who have not been comfortable with traditional means of adjusting can now experience a clinically proven, effective, and patient-friendly approach because they are now covered for visits to Anunson Chiropractic. To make an appointment, call Anunson Chiropractic directly at 608-829-2250.
