United Vacations Launches Economic Stimulus Program

New increased commission for travel agents!

MILWAUKEE, May 20 /PRNewswire/ — Whoa Nelly! There is big news for travel agents from the United Vacations front. As part of a new Economic Stimulus Program unveiled today, travel agents can take advantage of increased commission rates guaranteed for bookings through July 31, 2008 with the potential to earn the higher commission throughout 2008. Plain and simple this initiative helps put more money in the pockets of travel agents. But with a full-line up of educational and training opportunities through VAX VacationAccess(R) coming this summer, travel agents will be supported on all fronts — leading up to what the United Vacations Team hopes is a very prosperous summer.

There’s a special twist to how it works. Commission rates are based on the total number of passengers booked with United Vacations in 2007. And because commission levels can vary by product/destination, up-selling just got a lot more exciting.

  Here’s the breakdown:

America & Canada:
— Up to 25 passengers: was 8%, now 11%
— 26-99 passengers: was 10%, now 11%
— 100+ passengers: was 11%, now 12%

Hawaii, Europe, Mexico, Caribbean and Ski:
— Up to 25 passengers: was 10%, now 12%
— 26-99 passengers: was 11%, now 12%
— 100-150 passengers: was 12%, now 13%

Land-only, all destinations:
— All bookings: was 10%, now 11%

Increased commission rates are only valid for bookings made May 19-July 31, 2008 for all travel dates. No retro-active commission for bookings made prior to May 19, 2008 will be paid.

And as a friendly reminder to travel agents motivated by the new commission increase, United Vacations currently is running a major sale offering up to $300 off vacation packages to Mexico, the Caribbean, and United States including Hawaii, Canada and Europe. To receive the savings from this deal, bookings must be made by June 16th for travel through February 28, 2009. Promo code SPRING must be used at the time of booking.

Travel agents can book United Vacations through VAX VacationAccess(R) at http://www.vaxvacationaccess.com/ or the VAX VacationAccess technology via Amadeus AgentNet, Sabre Vacations, and Vacation.com AgentNet.
