MADISON- Gov. Jim Doyle today announced that the Village of
Cambria, Columbia County, will receive a $200,000 Community Development
Block Grant-Public Facilities for Economic Development (CDBG-PFED) from the
Department of Commerce (Commerce). The grant will help the community
upgrade water and sewer main and make road improvements to Seneca Foods
Corporation. Seneca Foods Corporation cans and freezes fruits and
vegetables.

“My Grow Wisconsin initiative promotes business development,” said Gov.
Doyle. “I am pleased that this award could be used to help the Village of
Cambria support the expansion of Seneca Foods Corporation.”

“This project will create 20 jobs at an average wage of $16.67/hour.
It will retain 30 jobs and will represent public and private investment
totaling $5 million,” said Commerce Secretary Cory L. Nettles.

The CDBG-PFED Program awards grants to communities that seek to provide
infrastructure for a particular business development project. For further
